Nebraska Hunts!Great news! Our first year in Nebraska has been a big success! we started off the season with Heather Nelson with Wolf Creek Productions taking a personal best with her bow. Heather tells me this TV show will air sometime next year on "Limbsavers American Archer" We'll keep you informed. Next we moved into the rifle season with two fellows filling out on the first morning in the stand. Dean Moberg stated he viewed 15 deer in the field before 8:30 picked out the biggest buck and took him! Way to go Dean! Brian Mathews and his cameraman/ brother Brett were sitting in one of our double, (4X8) black Blynd's when they noticed a 40' tall tree shaking! they got ready and when the buck stepped into the open they took him. These boys usually restrict themselves to archery hunts only and shooting for "SteelForce" but when given the chance to hunt the rut in Nebraska just minutes across the Kansas border they jumped at the chance. Good Job guys! Our third guy to tag out
was Bob O'Connel, Bob sat all day on the opener without seeing a deer.
Being an old hand at deer hunting, Bob wasn't too worried. The second morning
we put him in a different Blynd and he started seeing deer. By evening Bob had
seen 21 deer, (and just as many rooster pheasants) just not the one he was
waiting for. As he was putting his stuff in his pack, he looked up and
saw antlers. "When I looked through the scope all I could see was Horns" Bob
made a great shot at approximately 280 yds. putting him on the score board.
